Halloween float-a-boat speed challenge brings pirate ships to Enginuity
During half-term week, 25 October to 2 November, a Halloween atmosphere will descend upon Enginuity, the design and technology attraction in Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge, as visitors are invited to join a drop-in workshop to design and build their own pirate ghost ship from recycled materials. Participants can then race their ghostly galleons on the Enginuity pool of doom to see which ship will be the first to reach the pirate’s treasure.
The workshops will run daily between 10am and 4pm (closing between 12 and 1pm).
One of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Enginuity is open 10am-5pm seven days a week. Admission is £6.25 for adults and £5.25 for children and senior citizens. There will be an additional charge of £1.50 for each racing boat built.
