Spooky Spectacular – Mortals Wanted

Saturday 31st October 2009
6.30pm – 10.00pm

Taking place on Saturday 31st October 2009, this spooktacular evening of thrills and chills will finish with fantastic fireworks guaranteed to send any vengeful shade back to Hades.

Taking place in the Museum’s mysterious Warplanes Hangar, you will have to summon all your courage and dare to traverse a gothic graveyard, meandering through dark tunnels to arrive successfully at each repulsively creepy activity. But be warned - don’t look back, during your travels, if you feel a chill breath on your neck unless you desire a screamingly good time!

Wise witches, wizened hags from times long forgot, will gather around their cauldron.  Listen to terrifying tales about the Museum’s very own Lincoln bomber that will chill to the bone. Have your tickets ready for our ghost train simulator, next stop Frightsville! Terrify your friends and family with diabolical face paintings that transform you into a gibbering ghoul or infernal demon; and discover how witches fly after making your own Halloween lantern – a talisman of protection against all things that go bump in the night!

If you have successfully braved the arduous path through our hangars and passed the Museum’s Lincoln uncowed, then your reward lies ahead, intrepid visitor -  a fun-fair full of devilish delights that will last deep into All Hallow’s Eve.

If during the course of your travails you require sustenance to keep together body and soul a range of Halloween favourites and hot drinks will be available to revive your spirits before the evening’s main event - a dazzling display of fireworks in the Museum grounds. So, intrepid adventurer, if you dare to be there your passage must be booked in advance to gain entrance to our fated Hangars. No ghouls allowed.

Advance Tickets: £9.00 Adults, £6.00 Child* (*Children must be aged 3-15.  Children under 3 are free), £7.00 Senior Citizen, £26.00 Family (2A & 2C), £13.00 Family (1A & 1C). The fun-fair will run until 10pm. The firework display will commence at 8.30pm (subject to weather conditions).
