The Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival is a FREE annual event in May. The first walks are on the Saturday preceding the Early May Bank Holiday and the last on the Sunday 9 days later.

Wednesday 30 May 2012 

Telford and Wrekin will welcome the Olympic Flame next May as part of the torch's journey around the country. Ironbridge, Telford Town Centre and Newport will be the places where people can see the Olympic torch being carried in the borough on the afternoon of Wednesday 30 May 2012.

Saturday 9 June 2012

The Midsummer Fayre is taking place on Saturday 9 May 2012 at 10am - 3pm around Wellington's Market Square, All Saints Church and Market Hall. Introduced by the town crier and with a host of stalls set up outside the parish church, this annual event is inspired by the ancient June fayres that were being held in Wellington as far back as the 13th century, and the town's annual 'Jubilee' celebrations of the 1770s.

RAF Cosford Air Show is one of the country's top aviation events attracting thousands of people of all ages to a day of wonder, excitement and entertainment every year with the proceeds of the event going to RAF and local charities.
